Experience:
A minimum of two years experience working in community health settings required.
Experience working with children required. Classroom experience a plus.
Experience in partnership building in diverse communities required.
Must have a passion for health education and for serving underserved communities
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and attention to detail, showing a high level of care and thoroughness in handling details of the job
Demonstrated ability to work independently, using sound judgement, and in a well-organized manner
Demonstrated ability to work well with colleagues and work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve program goals
Eduational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition/public health/community health or health-related field preferred
Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate-level public health (MPH) program preferred
Spanish fluency a plus
Must possess computer literacy - working knowledge of Windows or comparable system, presentation development, email, browsers, spreadsheets, etc.
License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
Current California driver's license and car
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift, carry and transport packages of at least 50 pounds
Ability to walk throughout Medical Center's campus and around community sites
Frequest sitting, standing and walking
Must have transportation to travel daily to community sites
