Educational requirements and/or preferences:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related discipline required; equivalent combination of experience and work is acceptable.
- Requires a minimum of 8 years experience with computer technology in a multi-platform environment and 3 years experience with Epic Bridges technology.
- Practical experience with gathering data requirements and documentation of these requirements.
- Understanding of healthcare applications and terminology, patient care environments, and service needs and priorities of patient care personnel preferred.
- General working knowledge of enterprise interface engines, basic Unix, FTP processes, TCP/IP, Cache (preferred), HL7, ANSI X12 and Epic Chronicles.
- Expertise with Epic Bridges interfaces including the documentation, design, building, testing, implementation and support of Epic Bridges interfaces.
- Ability to search out solutions and approaches to problems associated with the delivery of information in a patient care or hospital business environment.
- Highly effective competency in organizational skills, project management, presentation, and communications tools.
- Self-motivation and creativity with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage own time effectively.
- Requires flexibility and adaptability to remain calm and cheerful under stressful conditions, functions well as a team player, and is comfortable working with diverse skill sets and personalities.
- Ability to execute all job responsibilities and assignments promptly, reliably, honestly, and ethically.
- Epic Bridges certification required.
