Educational Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited SLP program
License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
Valid and current license as a SLP in the state of California Valid and current CPR certification: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing therapist; minimum of one year experience in an acute care setting that includes clinical swallowing evaluations, modified barium swallow evaluations, speaking valve evaluations. Experience working with the electronic health record preferred.
Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, standing, walking) Able to push, pull, lift up to 100 lbs on an intermittent basis; able to bend, stoop, sit, stand and walk without restrictions. Work Environment (work environments, hazards and exposures the employee may encounter on the job): While performing video-swallowing studies, Speech Language Pathologists may be exposed to mild doses of radiation Date
