Job Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Two years of experience translating, reading and writing documents in English to the target language within a medical setting, with a full command of the English language and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Two years in a role that demonstrates ability to read handwritten and typed documents in English and the target language, speak clear English and the target language, and write in English and the target language.
- Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI) issued by the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI) or Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CHI) issued by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI).
- Must successfully pass a Medical Center Interpreter Services Language Proficiency Assessment/Training Program upon hire.
