Revenue Cycle Specialist

Educational Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma

Preferred: Two years of college with courses in business, accounting, computer operation & applications preferred.

Experience Required:

• Three to five years revenue cycle experience.
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment with conflicting demands on time and attention
• Strong Verbal and written communication to handle inquiries from management, staff or insurance companies. Demonstrated ability to maintain excellent rapport and working relationships with all levels of personnel.
• Excellent detail, analytical and problem-solving aptitude. Ability to quickly adjust to changing workflows.
• Ability to compose letters, policy statements, procedure manuals and reports.
• Ability to organize complex statistical and narrative reports, charts, and exhibits into a complete document suitable for publication and distribution.
• Must possess strong computer skills comprised of knowledge of Windows (specifically including keyboarding and mouse skills).  Additionally must possess a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation development, E-mail, browsers and on-line reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Fluency in the software applications related to revenue cycle. Ability to interact with, understand and update applications used to manage patient accounts and to access alternative information sources when necessary.
• Ability to think and work independently and with little supervision. Uses good judgment for situations which require initiative and innovation.

Physical Demands:

Walking, Lifting, Minor filing, working at computer for most of day.
