This role is designed to be 100% onsite, giving you the opportunity to collaborate closely with your team and immerse yourself in the energy of our workplace. Please note that hybrid or remote work options are NOT available for this position at this time.

This is an unpaid internship designed specifically for students who are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program. Candidates who have already completed their bachelor’s degree or are enrolled in a master’s program will not be considered.

This internship provides a hands-on educational experience in a biomedical research laboratory. The selected intern will gain exposure to fundamental laboratory techniques and contribute to a small, guided research project. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in biomedical sciences, molecular biology, or related fields.

DURING THE INTERNSHIP, THE INTERN WILL:

  • Develop proficiency in basic laboratory skills such as pipetting, solution preparation, and dilution calculations
  • Receive training in cell culture, PCR, and molecular cloning techniques
  • Learn how to design and conduct small-scale experiments under mentorship
  • Gain experience in data collection, analysis, and scientific documentation
  • Participate in collaborative discussions with research staff to deepen understanding of scientific methods

MENTORSHIP & STRUCTURE

The intern will work closely with a senior research associate who will provide direct training and supervision. Regular mentorship meetings will occur bi-weekly—either in-person or virtually—offering opportunities to discuss progress, address challenges, and refine techniques.

Performance and learning progress will be continuously evaluated through hands-on practice and feedback sessions with the mentor and lab team.

INTERNSHIP TIMELINE

  • Phase 1 (First Half): Acquire foundational laboratory skills — pipetting, measuring, preparing dilutions, and following lab safety protocols.
  • Phase 2 (Second Half): Apply acquired skills to an independent mini-project involving cell culture, PCR, flow cytometry, or a combination of these methods.

EDUCATIONAL VALUE

THIS INTERNSHIP PROVIDES AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF A RESEARCH LAB, BUILD TECHNICAL SKILLS, AND GAIN MENTORSHIP FROM EXPERIENCED RESEARCHERS. INTERNS WILL LEAVE WITH A STRONGER FOUNDATION FOR FUTURE ROLES IN RESEARCH OR GRADUATE STUDIES.
