Educational Requirements:
Baccalaureate degree in a health science field with background in biology and a minimum one year of experience in pathology.
Certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Pathologist Assistant PA (ASCP), preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, patients, physicians and other customers of the medical center.
Full command (verbal and written) of the English language

Experience:
Two (2) years full-time pathologist assistant experience preferred. The two (2) years must be under the supervision of a certified pathologist (certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology, or eligible). Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, patients, physicians and other customers of the medical center. Computer skills.
Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting and standing; occasional walking and bending; occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds for distances to 10 feet. Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices including telephones, beepers, fire alarms, mechanical failure alarms. Near visual acuity including color differentiation.
