EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Current California Phlebotomy License (CPT) required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum requirement: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in clinical trial protocol interpretation for laboratory needs.
  • A minimum of three (3)  years of clinical lab bench experience in processing of patient samples. 
SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to deal effectively with diverse people, excellent human relations and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize, organize and coordinate care.
  • Must have a quality service attitude.
  • Must be proficient in phlebotomy skills.
  • Able to work carefully and efficiently under stressful situations.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  1. Exposed to noise, electrical, chemical and sharps hazards.
  2. Moderate sitting/walking/standing.
  3. High volume of patient interaction and prolonged viewing of computer screens.
  4. Requires good physical and emotional health.
  5. Lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs. and 200 lbs. with assistance.
  6. Continuous hand/finger movements.
