Litigation Manager - Employment Law
Educational Requirements:
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
• Juris Doctor required.
• Member of the California Bar in good standing.
• 10+ years of demonstrated quality employment litigation experience, which must include a minimum of 7 years in a national law firm representing large, complex organizations, and a minimum of 3 years as in-house counsel in a large organization; experience with health care employers strongly preferred. Recent experience must include representation within the State of California.
• Thorough and current knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Experience investigating and responding to government agency complaints.
• Solid knowledge/understanding of human resources practice principles.
• Demonstrated superior judgment and ability to influence outcomes in sensitive and/or high profile issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as listening, fact-finding, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated experience working in a high-pressure environment with multiple competing priorities.
• Exemplary organization skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, including demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all individuals at all levels of a large complex organization
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Unquestioned integrity.
• Strong, sensitive and effective leadership skills; must have supervisory experience.
Sound judgment.
