Echo Sonographer- Per Diem
Educational Requirements:
Recent graduates from a minimum of 2-year diagnostic medical sonography form a program accredited by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Must have a current BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program from the American Heart Association
License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
Must have a current BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program from the American Heart Association
Registered Diagnostic and Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) – Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
Experience:
Has a minimum of 1- 5 years of experience in acute clinical settings work as a cardiac sonographer focused on Adult
• Knowledge of at least 1 ultrasound system.
Physical Demands:
Visual, auditory, and physical and perceptive acuity ability to perform all job functions, including direct/indirect patient care, satisfactorily.
Must be able to frequently walk distance from Noninvasive Cardiac Lab to inpatient’s location moving ultrasound equipment which weigh up to approximately 450 lbs.
Occasionally moves or lift equipment or supplies weighing weighting up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in close quarters with occasional high noise levels; must be able to handle the stress of observing patients in pain and/or under stressful traumatic situations, i.e. Emergency Department, Surgery.
Must be able to assist in lifting patients, transferring patients from wheelchair to gurney, or gurney to procedure table with bending, reaching or twisting during the performance of a procedure
