Clinical Lab Scientist I

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor degree in a biological science, chemistry, medical technology, or related science.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

A valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or limited license in Immunohematology required. Prefer MT(ASCP) or BB(ASCP) or equivalent.

Experience:

Zero to 2 years experience. Prefer prior blood bank/transfusion service work experience in a transfusion service in a large tertiary care hospital. Have knowledge of cGMP's governing Registered and Licensed Blood Establishments. Must be able to accurately perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while maintaining good customer relations. Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, patients, physicians and other customers. Full command (verbal and written) of the English language.

Physical Demands (e.g., lifting, standing, walking):

Must be able to lift 25-351bs, with frequent walking and standing.
